EILLES TEE, the premium tea brand from J.J. Darboven, is pushing ahead with its commitment to sustainability: the OPP film sachets previously used for Tea Diamond® products will be completely converted to recyclable paper by the end of 2025. A total of 37 items from the Tea Diamond® Sachet loose and the sachets in the Luxury World Selection range will benefit from this.
The new paper sachets are made from renewable raw materials, have a seal-barrier coating on the inside and can be conveniently disposed of in the waste paper garbage can.
Completely sustainable packaging concept
"This changeover is a logical step in our sustainability strategy," explains Karen Lässig, Tea Taster and Marketing Manager at J.J. Darboven. "With the new paper sachets, we are setting another milestone in our sustainable packaging concept." The gradual adaptation will begin immediately and should be completed by the end of 2025.
The Tea Diamond® pyramid bags are already made from plant-based corn starch (100% PLA), the thread is also plant-based and the folding boxes are made from recyclable paper. "We are constantly working on making our packaging more environmentally friendly. This process will remain a top priority for us in the future," continues Karen Lässig.
