EILLES TEE presents the creation of the year Haskapbeere-Cranberry
Trendy berry duo full of fruitiness
The new EILLES TEE creation of the year 2026 surprises with an unusual combination of berries: sweet and tart haska berries with a delicate tart note meet berry-sweet cranberries and create an extraordinary new taste experience.
The haskap berry is still an insider tip in this country - which makes it the ideal star for the new composition from J.J. Darboven. The elongated, dark blue berry originally comes from the Kamchatka Peninsula and was first cultivated in Japan in the 13th century. Its name loosely translates as "berry of eternal life". Cranberries, on the other hand, have long since established a firm place in home cooking and gastronomy: they refine sauces, are the highlight in bowls and give drinks a special touch.
Innovation for the out-of-home market
"The Haskap berry has everything that tea fans appreciate in a good fruit tea - a tangy, fruity taste, an intense red cup and an unmistakable taste experience. It is also still unknown in Germany, which is what makes it so interesting for us," says Inga Kober, Business Team Lead Tea at J.J. Darboven. "The fruit is predestined to set a trend in the world of tea too. With the creation of the year 2026, we are offering restaurateurs the chance to offer their guests something really new in the fruit tea segment. After all, they are now constantly looking for variety and innovation on the drinks menu. Tea has long been more than just a drink - it is a celebrated break from everyday life."
Modern look as an eye-catcher
The packaging captures the colors of the berry composition: the cool blue-violet of the Haskap berry is interspersed with bright red and green tones. This fruity and lively look continues the modern design language of the previous creations of the year this year.
Successful concept of the Creation of the Year edition
EILLES TEE has been relying on the successful concept of limited annual editions since 2023: After Pink Dragonfruit (2023), Cascara Mango (2024) and Mate Lime (2025), the fourth edition is now following. This range enables restaurants and hotels to regularly add new highlights to their drinks menus and create additional flavor impulses.
From March 2026, the EILLES TEE creation of the year 2026 Haskapbeere-Cranberry will be available in the Luxury World Selection with the Tea Diamonds® pyramid bags. Creative new recipe ideas - for example for iced tea or smoothies - will accompany the launch.
